June/July 2004 JUNE HAS BUSTED OUT ALL OVER with the opening of the Chicago Gospel Fest, the Blues Fest and the Ravinia Jazz and Opera festivals. A very special treat was meeting the renown Jennifer Hudson backstage at the Petrillo and although she could only tease us with that magnanimous voice which by the way sounds so much better in person. We got the message that she has a tremendous career in front of her and that she is a real generous and genuine sweetie.

CONGRATUALATION GARY KHAN in becoming the newly elected chairperson to the Audio Engineering Society, Chicago Chapter. Gary has been a major player in the recording organizations here with prior leading positions for The engineering and recording society of Chicago aka EARS, The Recording Academy [NARAS], Chicago Chapter as well as a Columbia College faculty member. He also presented a highly acclaimed workshop for the AES chapter during the previous administration.
