What a way to gateway the summer festival season
Sometime in the latter half of the 19th century or early 20th century, Mary Baker Eddy
wrote in Science & Health with Key to the Scriptures "Whatever inspires with wisdom, Truth,
or Love – be it song, sermon, or Science – blesses the human family with crumbs of comfort
from Christ’s table, feeding the hungry and giving living waters to the thirsty". And this
statement was never more clearly evident at this weekend’s 25th annual Gospel Festival
celebrated at Chicago’s Millenium Park.
The artistry and wonderfulness of the oracles delivered over the weekend and the power of
the Christ shown forth for the blessings was nothing short of Divine
inspiration. The highlight of the whole festival was that which turned a cold potentially
continuously rainy Saturday into sun filled warmth as the name of Jesus was repeatedly and
melodically uttered with accompanying grace for all to witness. The "Word" incredibly
"Well Done" understate this most heartwarming food for the mind body and spirit event.
This festival was truly a real testimony to which renowned author and teacher Joel
Goldsmith referred to in his Thunder Of Silence as well as other revelations
when speaking of the dedicated individuals willing to open themselves
to the well spring of Christ Truth for whatever shows up false in the dream illusion.
Thus accepting the reality of Being available to all who are willing.
